About

The Las Cruces UkeFest is hosted by the Las Cruces Ukes, a non-profit community group of ukulele enthusiasts in southern New Mexico. The club formed in 2013 and has since given over 90 performances around the community, offered several quality workshops with instructors like Mark Baker and Jim D’Ville, and added a teen club.

The Las Cruces Ukes practice weekly on Thursdays at Good Samaritan – Las Cruces Village, 3011 Buena Vida Circle. Our Strum for Fun group (the best to drop in to visit us!) gets together from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., then our performance group practices for whatever gig is next from 6:20 to 7:30 p.m. Join us for an evening of ukulele fun!

In 2017, we held our first full-scale festival to rave reviews and a sold-out concert. In 2018, we moved the concert to a larger venue and had more than 300 ukulele lovers in the house! Due to the COVID-19 virus, our fourth festival which would have taken place in 2020 was postponed to 2022, although virtual festivals were held in 2020 and 2021.Now we’re working on our fifth Las Cruces UkeFest with another group of amazing New Mexico-based instructors!
